Anthony says: Again, written prior to joining RCR. I believe this one was Emre's favorite of the songs I brought to the band. It's one of my personal faves as well but without Emre's encouragement in practices there's a good chance it would've never have been brought on board. Again, this is the definitive version, I love all the performances brought to the song in the studio and I quite love the sound Christian brought to the guitars. Weirdly, I didn't even own an amp at this point.
The composition is based on an idea of creating a piece that keeps ascending with a minimum of repeated sections, which at the time I wrote it was quite an accomplishment for me. It does of course have repetition, but far less than most of what I was writing at the time.
